Elah es una joven banda de rock alternativo establecida en Mazatlán, Sinaloa (México). Desde sus inicios en el 2009, han tocado en diversos lugares ante todo tipo de publico. Aunque ya tenían un repertorio de temas populares decidieron reunir sus canciones inéditas para su primera producción discográfica.
El proceso de grabación los llevó a Los Ángeles, California donde conocieron al productor Carlos Eli, el cual fue impactado por la banda y se unió a ella como guitarrista. Carlos Eli dirigió la producción y arreglos del álbum, junto al multi-talentoso Holger Fath (Rojo, Marcos Witt, Emmanuel & Linda, Stan Bush).
Así mismo intervinieron, Gregg Bissonette (Duran Duran, Pink Floyd, Santana, Enrique Iglesias, RBD, y Sin Bandera) y su hermano Matt Bissonette (Barry Manilow, Ringo Star, Avalon, y Elton John).
Tres de los integrantes de Elah, (Agustín, Tomás y Gaby Enciso) son hermanos que desde pequeños están involucrados en la música. Gaby (voz líder y compositora) es Diseñadora y Directora Creativa de profesión, asimismo ha estado involucrada en coros locales y obras de teatro comunitario así como grupos de música congregacional.
Agustín (batería), y Tomás (bajo) aprendieron a tocar instrumentos desde niños, juntos, hicieron parte de grupos locales en Mazatlán y Hermosillo. Carlos Elí Vargas es guitarrista desde los 12 años, también es arreglista y tiene su propio estudio de grabación, conocido como “Plug-In”.
La palabra Elah viene del antiguo lenguaje del Arameo, y es conocido como la región en el medio oriente de donde viene la historia de ‘David y Goliat’.
La banda fue nombrada por Gaby cuando estudió en Israel y aprendió de las culturas locales. Elah desea incorporar lo divino de esa región a su música, siendo que para ellos la música es el lenguaje del alma.
En el 2012, lanzaron su primer disco homónimo, esperando alcanzar a todo tipo de audiencia y compartir su música de amor, fe, y esperanza. Recientemente la banda fue finalista a la prestigiosa, International Songwriting Competition (ISC). Esta agrupación mexicana es una de más de 19 mil compositores que se inscribieron a la competencia.
Los finalistas representan aproximadamente el 1% de dichos aspirantes. Dentro de la categoría latina se encuentran 17 finalistas representando Argentina, Perú, Alemania, Puerto Rico, Colombia, USA, México, Cuba, Canadá, Italia, y Chile.
Elah hoy día radica en Hermosillo, Sonora, México, de donde viajan a sus eventos locales, regionales, e internacionales. El disco de Elah está disponible virtualmente a través de tiendas digitales como: iTunes, Amazon MP3, Nuhbe, CD Baby, y Google Play, entre otras.
Elah is a young, alternative rock band established in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico. Since it’s inception in 2009, they have performed at various locations and to a wide variety of audiences. Although they already had a repertoire of popular songs, they decided to record new songs for their first album.
The recording process took them to Los Angeles, California where they met the producer Carlos Eli. Carlos hit it off with the band and joined them on guitar. Carlos Eli managed the production and arrangements on the album, by the multi- talented Holger Fath (Rojo, Marcos Witt, Emmanuel & Linda, Stan Bush).

Three of the members of Elah (Agustín, Tomás and Gaby Enciso) are siblings who were involved in music from a young age. Gaby (lead vocals and songwriter) is a Designer and Creative Director and also has been involved in local choirs, community theater groups and congregational music.
Agustín(drums), and Tomás (bass ) learned to play instruments as children, and together were part of local bands in Hermosillo and Mazatlan .
Carlos Eli Vargas has played guitar since age 12, and is also an arranger and has his own recording studio known as "Plug-in."
The word Elah comes from the ancient language of Aramaic, and is known to be from the region of the Middle East where the story of 'David and Goliath' takes place.
The band was named by Gaby who thought of it while studying in Israel and learned about local cultures. Elah want to incorporate the divine feeling of that region to their music, because for them, music is the language of the soul.
In 2012 , they released their first self-titled album , hoping to reach all audiences and share their music with love , faith, and hope. Recently the band was a finalist for the prestigious International Songwriting Competition (ISC). This Mexican group was one of more than 19,000 registered composers that participated in the competition.
The finalists represent approximately 1% of these applicants. Within the Latino category, there were 17 finalists representing Argentina, Peru, Germany, Puerto Rico, Colombia, USA, Mexico, Cuba, Canada, Italy, and Chile.
Today, Elah lives in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, where they travel to their local, regional, and international events. Their CD, “Elah” is available digitally through stores such as iTunes , Amazon MP3, Nuhbe , CD Baby, and Google Play, among others.
